Rev. James Butler - Pastor
Pastor Jim was born in Kansas City, KS, the son of Earl and Jenny Butler. He attended High School and Jr. College at St. Paul's College and College High in Concordia MI. graduating in 1981. He received his Masters of Divinity degreefrom Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1985. In 1998, he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theology Seminary, South Hamilton, MA.
Prior to accepting the call to St. Luke's, Pastor Jim served seven years as Associate Pastor at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church and School in Machesney Park, IL and for thirteen years as Pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Springfield,MA.
Pastor Jim serves as Secretary of the New England District and as adjunct professor of religion at Concordia College, Bronxville, NY in the Missions Training Center.
In August of 1982 he married Janyce (nee Watkins). They have four children: Kelly, Joshua and their twins Alfredo & Vanessa. They also own two dogs Aragorn and Sofy.
We welcome the Butler family into our fellowship and pray God's blessings upon Pastor Jim and his family as he serves us!
